Garbage Disposal Broken? Here’s Why
Garbage disposal repair is a fairly common kitchen plumbing issue, and it’s often one homeowner can address themselves. Keep in mind that just because garbage disposal has stopped working doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be replaced.

Symptom: You turn on the disposal, and nothing happens.
The problem is more than likely a power issue.
The first thing to check is the reset button on the bottom of the disposal, located underneath your sink where the kitchen plumbing is found. Make sure the reset button is pressed, and then try to turn on the disposal again.
